We asked our members to tell us their primary reason for joining. The results paint a clear picture of a community that knows exactly what it wants — and a dating layer that's being actively chosen, not just stumbled into.
🏆 Top answer
I'm just into motorbikes looking for a partner
41.7%
The most popular answer — chosen by 5 of 12 members — was the explicitly partner-seeking option. The dating layer isn't being passively accepted; it's the primary draw for a significant share of the community.

What the results tell us
The clearest signal in this poll is gender — and it maps almost perfectly to how the platform works. Every vote for "Pillion looking for a Rider" came from a woman. Every identifiable vote for "Rider looking for a Pillion" came from a man. The community is self-selecting by role exactly as Pillion Link is designed for, without any prompting. That's a healthy early indicator.
The partner-seeking answer winning at 41.7% is worth noting. This wasn't the social option, or the functional riding-companion option — it was the dating one. And it was chosen by the most people. That suggests the community attracted through motorcycling is also willing to be direct about wanting a relationship, rather than treating it as something to be eased into apologetically. The platform's "social first, dating when you want it" model seems to be landing; people are arriving knowing which layer matters to them.
On age: the active respondents in this poll were all 35 and above, concentrated in the 45–64 bracket. No under-35 votes appear in the demographic data. This is an early snapshot and the sample is small, but it's consistent with where UK motorcycling enthusiasm tends to concentrate. The community is a little older — which likely affects the social dynamic, the riding styles preferred, and what members are looking for from a connection.
A note on sample size: 12 votes is an early-days result, not a statistically representative sample. These patterns are suggestive and worth watching as the community grows, but shouldn't be treated as conclusive. We'll revisit this poll as the membership scales.
